Seasonal Pies Guide: What to Order When
Navigate our seasonal menu like a pro with this guide to the best pies for every time of year.
One of the most common questions we get at Andyâs Pie Pantry is, âWhatâs in season right now?â While we offer classic favorites year-round, we also create special seasonal pies that showcase the best ingredients each time of year has to offer.
This guide will help you navigate our seasonal offerings and understand why certain pies are available only at specific times. Trust me, once you try a pie made with peak-season ingredients, youâll never go back!
Spring (March - May)
Peak Season: Strawberries, citrus, rhubarb
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Spring is the best time for this classic combination. Local strawberries are at their sweetest, and rhubarb is bright, tart, and perfect for balancing the fruitâs sweetness. This pie is only available for about 8 weeks each year, so donât miss it!
Lemon Meringue Pie
While we offer this year-round, itâs especially refreshing during warmer spring days. The bright, tangy lemon filling feels like sunshine on a plate.
Recommendation
If youâre planning a spring event or celebration, our Strawberry Rhubarb is the show-stopper that announces the seasonâs arrival. Pair it with vanilla ice cream for the perfect spring dessert.
Summer (June - August)
Peak Season: Berries, stone fruits, tropical fruits
Triple Berry Pie
When local blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries hit their peak in June and July, we go all-in with our Triple Berry Pie. The berries are so flavorful during this window that we barely need to add sugar.
Peach Pie
August brings perfectly ripe peaches, and our Peach Pie showcases them at their best. We use a touch of cinnamon and brown sugar to enhance their natural sweetness.
Mango Coconut Cream Pie (Limited Edition)
This summer-only special celebrates tropical flavors. Fresh mango purĂŠe meets coconut cream in a graham cracker crust - itâs like vacation in pie form.
Recommendation
For summer gatherings, you canât go wrong with our Berry Medley. Itâs colorful, fresh, and screams summer. Pro tip: Serve it slightly chilled for maximum refreshment.
Autumn (September - November)
Peak Season: Apples, pumpkins, pears
Classic Apple Pie
While we make apple pie year-round, autumn is when it truly shines. New-season apples have the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, and the cooler weather makes the warm spices feel just right.
Pumpkin Spice Pie
Our most popular autumn pie! We start offering this in September and keep it on the menu through November. Made with real pumpkin and our secret spice blend, itâs perfect for Thanksgiving or any autumn celebration.
Pear Cranberry Pie
This underrated gem combines sweet, juicy pears with tart cranberries. Itâs less common than apple or pumpkin, making it a conversation starter at any gathering.
Salted Caramel Apple Pie (Limited Edition)
Our autumn special takes classic apple pie to the next level with layers of salted caramel. It sells out fast, so pre-order if you want to try it!
Recommendation
Hosting Thanksgiving? Order a Pumpkin Spice Pie for traditionalists and a Salted Caramel Apple for adventurous guests. Together, theyâll please everyone at the table.
Winter (December - February)
Peak Season: Nuts, chocolate, citrus, preserved fruits
Chocolate Silk Pie
Rich, decadent, and perfect for holiday celebrations. This no-bake pie is ideal when you want something impressive but the oven is already full of other holiday dishes.
Pecan Pie
Christmas isnât complete without pecan pie. We use premium pecans and real maple syrup for depth of flavor that grocery store versions canât match.
Mince Pie
For those celebrating a traditional British Christmas, our mince pies are made with imported dried fruits and brandy, staying true to the classic recipe.
Chicken Pot Pie (Peak Season!)
While we offer savory pies year-round, winter is when chicken pot pie truly shines. Thereâs something about a steaming, creamy pot pie on a rainy Singapore evening that feels like a warm hug.
Recommendation
For Christmas gatherings, create a pie dessert table: Chocolate Silk for chocolate lovers, Pecan Pie for the traditionalists, and our Limited Edition Eggnog Custard Pie for something special.
Year-Round Classics
Some pies are just too good to limit to one season:
Chicken Pot Pie: Our best-selling savory pie, perfect any time you need comfort food.
Classic Apple Pie: Using different apple varieties throughout the year, we ensure this is always delicious.
Beef & Mushroom Pie: Hearty and satisfying, though itâs especially popular during cooler months.
Lemon Meringue Pie: Bright and refreshing, it works in any season.
Limited Edition Alerts
Throughout the year, we create special limited-edition pies based on ingredient availability and creative inspiration. These might appear for just 2-4 weeks before theyâre gone. Recent hits include:
- Durian Pie (love it or hate it!)
- Key Lime Pie (summer weekends only)
- Shepherdâs Pie with Truffle (winter comfort food elevated)
- Calamansi Meringue Pie (a local twist on classic lemon)
How to stay updated: Follow us on Instagram @AndysPieSG or sign up for our newsletter to get alerts when new seasonal and limited-edition pies drop.
Pre-Ordering for Holidays
Our busiest times of year are:
- Thanksgiving (late November)
- Christmas (late December)
- Chinese New Year (January/February)
- Motherâs Day (May)
During these periods, we strongly recommend pre-ordering at least one week in advance. Popular pies like Pumpkin Spice (Thanksgiving) and Pecan Pie (Christmas) often sell out.
Custom Seasonal Orders
Planning a wedding in spring? A corporate event in autumn? We love creating custom seasonal pies that align with your eventâs timing and theme. Contact our catering team at least three weeks before your event to discuss options.
The Andyâs Pie Pantry Philosophy
Weâre committed to seasonal eating because:
- Better flavor: Ingredients at their peak simply taste better.
- Supporting local: When possible, we source from Singapore and regional farmers.
- Sustainability: Eating seasonally reduces transportation and storage needs.
- Anticipation: Limited availability makes these pies special. The excitement of waiting for strawberry season makes that first bite even sweeter.
Whatâs Coming Next?
As I write this in January, Iâm already planning our spring menu. Weâre working with a local farm to source the first strawberries of the season, and Iâm experimenting with a new Strawberry Basil Pie that might become this yearâs spring special.
